Janet has fifteen years' experience as a BBC broadcaster and producer, spending most of that time working in foreign news as a correspondent. She was posted to Berlin and Brussels and has reported from over thirty countries for national and international BBC -- from the Norwegian Arctic to Afghanistan. She also regularly presented Breakfast TV, News 24, World Service Radio and still appears on BBC World.

She specialises in Europe and speaks fluent German and French, and some Spanish and Russian. In her spare time she explores strange parts of the World with her Bulgarian husband.
